The temperatures may be dropping, but Sabrina Carpenter is doubling down on some of the hottest summer trends in a recent Instagram post.

Over the weekend, Sabrina Carpenter shared a photo dump featuring various tidbits of life, from a screengrab of her lyrics to an action shot of her eating oysters in full glam. However, two photos in particular caught our eyes for good reason.

The first eye-catching photo was her main image, which featured a unique outfit. Photographed walking up a set of stairs, Carpenter wore a long, oversized plaid coat (which prompted Taylor Zakhar Perez to comment, “still waiting for that jacket back”) and a pair of over-the-knee black suede boots, fitting for the winter season. Not so fitting for winter? Carpenter skipped the winter clothes underneath. In lieu of a sweater or blouse, she wore a scalloped mesh bralette, joining in on the recent trend of wearing lingerie as clothes.

While Carpenter didn’t also completely skip the pants like other celebs have been recently, she did recreate one of the hottest trends of the summer. She wore a pair of teeny, tiny shiny gold micro shorts. The hue matched her simple gold pendant “S” necklace, which pulled the whole outfit together.

That look itself was enough to capture our attention, but Carpenter also dropped some major news in her little photo dump. On the last slide of her Instagram carousel, Carpenter shared a photo of her back. If you were almost completely distracted by her stellar style and iconic blowout like we were, then you might have missed the new tiny, subtle tattoo she debuted.

On the back of her shoulder, Carpenter now sports a new ink that says “at last” in a delicate cursive font. The tattoo was, of course, done by celeb favorite Dr. Woo. Although she hasn’t disclosed the meaning behind it yet, we do know that Carpenter has covered Etta James’ iconic song “At Last” during her previous concerts. (She even included the song on her playlist to her life for Teen Vogue and shared that it was the first song she ever learned.)

With so much going on in one photo dumb, it makes sense that Carpenter captioned her photo dump as “2+0+2+4=”. As she continues “The Eras Tour” with Taylor Swift, we can’t wait to see what that will equal, especially when it comes to other looks — and perhaps tattoos.
